FAQ

Health insurance: common questions

When is open enrollment for 2027 health insurance?

Open Enrollment for 2027 Marketplace coverage starts November 1, 2026 in most states. In states that use HealthCare.gov, enroll by December 15 for coverage that starts January 1. States that run their own marketplace set their own dates, and we confirm yours.

Outside that window you need a qualifying life event, such as losing other coverage, moving, marriage or a new baby. We can tell you whether yours qualifies.

Can you check whether I qualify for a tax credit?

Yes. Your premium tax credit depends on your household size and expected income for the year. We estimate it with you, show you what plans cost after the credit, and enroll you in the plan you choose.

Do you help small businesses with employee benefits?

Yes. Viola works with employers who want to offer health and other benefits to their people, including smaller businesses that think benefits are out of reach. We look at what fits your budget and your team.

What does it cost to work with Rise Up Benefits Group on health insurance?

Nothing. Insurance companies pay agents a commission when a policy is issued, and that is already built into the price whether you use an agent or not.

Buying the same plan on your own does not make it cheaper. It just means nobody checked your doctors and prescriptions first, and nobody picks up the phone when you have a question in March.

Does Rise Up Benefits Group offer every plan for health insurance?

No agency does. Rise Up Benefits Group is independent and works with major insurance companies, so we compare across the ones we represent rather than selling one company's plans.

Who will help me with health insurance?

Viola Lucero, CLTC, founder of Rise Up Benefits Group, or a licensed member of her team. Viola focuses on education, so you know what you have, how to use it, and what it covers.

How do I get started with health insurance?

Call (480) 300-5776, send a message through the contact page, or come to a free workshop. There is nothing to sign to have a conversation.

Bring your prescription list and your doctors' names, and the comparison can be a real one rather than a generic one.

What happens after I enroll?

We stay your agent. We review your coverage with you every year as plans change, and you can call us for help with claims, billing or questions at any time.

We speak insurance, so you don't have to.

Tell us what you are trying to protect. We explain your options in plain English and review them with you every year.
